This policy explains what information www.fernandesjoshua.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Joshua Fernandes, Goa, India. Questions: contact@fernandesjoshua.com.

What is collected

  • Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit. I see this only as aggregate reports. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies.
  • Contact form and other forms. When you send a message or submit a form, the site stores what you enter (such as your name, email address and message) so I can reply. Spam protection is provided by Google reCAPTCHA, which processes your IP address and browser information under Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Empathy assessment. The assessment can be taken anonymously. If you buy a report, you give an email address so the report can be sent to you; the emailed link stays valid for a year. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card or bank details go to Razorpay, not to this site, and are handled under Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
  • Server logs. The web host keeps standard logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

How it is used

Only to run the site: answering messages, delivering reports you have paid for, preventing spam and abuse, and understanding which content is useful. Your information is not sold, and is not used for advertising.

Who it is shared with

Only the services named above (Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA, Razorpay, and the web host) and only as needed to provide them. Information may also be disclosed if the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Messages and form submissions are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with your request. Report links expire after a year. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.

You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to contact@fernandesjoshua.com.

Analytics MCP (Google API access)

"Analytics MCP" is a private tool used only by the site owner. It connects to the Google Analytics Data and Admin APIs with read-only access, so the owner can review traffic reports for the websites they manage: fernandesjoshua.com and scissorsandcomb.com.

  • It reads only aggregate Analytics reports and property settings for accounts the owner has authorised. It cannot change any Analytics setting.
  • Report results are passed to the AI assistant the owner uses (Anthropic's Claude) only to answer the owner's own questions about site traffic. They are not sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone else.
  • Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated.
